V. New Business

Both Cardigan Mtn. School and Salisbury School moved up a class in 2007 and shall remain in that class for the 2008 Championships
Trinity-Pawling School may petition to move up from Class C to Class B for the 2008 Championships
Discussed new sign-up procedures to address the two measures agreed upon during the Spring Coaches Meeting

When submitting their dues, each school will:

pay dues to ISSCA
submit coaches names
submit roster
submit league they participate in

Participation Requirement:

To be eligible for participation in the NEPSAC Alpine Skiing Championships a student must participate in the following number of league races representing their school:
- If an even number of races before the championships, then ( n/2 )
- If an odd number of races before the championships, then ( n + 1 )/2
For example:
- If your league has 4 races prior to the championships then a student must participate in at least 2 races.
- If your league has 5 races prior to the championships then a student must participate in at least 3 races.

Ideas offered during the discussion of the eligibility requirement
- Consequences of an eligibility infraction:
  - Skier DQ
  - Team DQ
  - Skier and team DQ but other skiers from the school would count for individual awards
- Verification of racers for each ski league
- Should the school's AD sign-off on running orders?
- Race Jury could DQ an eligibility infraction

Decisions

Coaches and Ad's will submit their championship running order
Teams are encouraged to bring some evidence of their skiers league participation
Consequences of eligibility infraction
1. Team Disqualification (by gender)
2. Individual Disqualification
3. Other team individuals are eligible for individual awards
4. Results recalculated
Host school can ask for the number of league race starts on the Championship entry form
Race day infractions will go to the Race Jury. If it cannot be reconciled in a timely fashion, then the issue moves to the Competition Committee
Post-Championships infractions will be ruled upon by the Competition Committee

VI. Other items of business

General question regarding a mountain's willingness to host GS events
- Litigation issues
- Fewer venues for quality events
Medals vs. T-shirts
Formation of a new position to oversee the awards. So we now have:

Treasurer - James Watt, St. Paul's School(oversees Dues)
Awards Secretary - Fred Hollister, Noble and Greenough School (oversees Awards)
